The Council Bluffs Public Library was a fantastic place to start my second week of the Reading Road Trip!
A large room with a gigantic audience proved to be a perfect place to ask two of my co-workers to sing. They did wonderful!
Even though I’m good friends with the librarians there, they said I wasn’t eligible to enter into the summer reading program prize drawing!

When I arrived at the Council Bluffs Public Library this morning it became clear that parking was going to be an adventure. The parking lot was under construction!
There was construction going on inside too!
Luckily, a little construction won’t keep the Council Bluff’s masses from attending story time!

I love pulling into an empty library parking lot.
When my friends in Council Bluffs see the IPTV truck, the parking lot doesn’t stay empty for long. This morning after we arrived, crowds started to form.
The crowds grew!
And then they grew some more!
You never know who you might meet at story time. You might meet a super hero or two or even three!
You might meet someone with snakes in their hair!
Snakes or no snakes, my library story times are all filled [...]
Ahhhh, the Council Bluffs Public Library! They always draw a crowd for story time!
It might be because they give you prize tickets for reading.
Luckily, there is a knight and a dragon to guard the prize chamber!
And if the knight or dragon can’t be there to guard the prizes, the mice certainly can.
Wow, what a welcome I had later at the Malvern Public Library!
The librarians are very welcoming too!
