Reverse the Bandshell?

This morning, the Waukee Public Library had prepared for me a giant obstacle course with a jungle adventure theme! My first quest was to get across the treasure room by only stepping on the correct stones!

Of course, I stepped on the wrong stone, fell through the floor, and ended up almost getting eaten by an elephant!

Next, I barely escaped being mauled by a tiger!

I eventually made it through all their challenges and performed story time for the locals. However, it [...]

I Spy a Big Blue Dog!

Look who was waiting for me at the Ames Bandshell this morning!

Smyles wasn’t the only one looking for a story. Lots of patrons from the Ames Public Library were there, too!

I was asked to join in a synchronized musical performance on the stage!

And, afterwards, I even was able to enjoy the park for a bit!

My next stop was the Clive Public Library!

Steve, one of my co-workers, was there to shoot some video of the adventures we were having!

Some friends asked [...]

Don’t Touch that Fruit!

That’s right, it was time to kick back and have a story told to me by Smyles the library dog!

However, I couldn’t sit back and relax for long because [...]

Keeping Cool, Inside and Outside.

I always love it when fellow super heroes show up to help with a big audience. It helps me keep my cool.

Super heroes come in all shapes and sizes. As you can see, they also wear many different types of outfits to strike fear into the hearts of villains.

But you don’t need a [...]

A Day Filled with Music!

Hula dancing is how they start the morning off right in Boone.

Personally, I like to start the morning off right by rocking out!

It was strange doing story time indoors in the morning…

And doing story time outdoors in the afternoon.

The crowds were so big at the Ames Public Library that I had to do story time in the bandshell!

Lots of folks stopped by to listen, some people who were even walking their dogs!

Luckily, we had an extra super-hero available to handle crowd control.

For an [...]
