Olympic Celebration!

This morning, I discovered the Washington Free Public Library has Olympic Fever!

They treated me as if I was the greatest Olympic athlete on the planet!

I wasn’t the only Healthy Hero in the building! The story time room was completely filled with Healthy Heroes!

However, there were a few who still needed my healthy message regarding portion size!

During my afternoon stop, I learned there was a new protector of the Davenport Public Library!

Don’t worry, Libby the Library Dog is still standing guard [...]

Every Penguin Gets a Snow Cone!

There are lots of inspirational signs at the Washington Free Public Library. Here’s a great example: “Reading Takes You in All Directions!”

And don’t forget, “One World, Many Stories!”

Interesting. I’ve never seen a “One World, One Wardell” sign before.

A world with more than one of me would definitely make some people scream in terror!

On the other hand, think of all the crowds of kids I could entertain with an army of duplicates!

Speaking of duplicates, I encountered these two “I Love Reading” [...]

Who Wants to Buy Some Creatures?

Although the Washington Public Library picnic basket was full of books,I guess I was not supposed to eat any!

Why am I always the last to know these things?

Despite the book eating incident, after story timeI was inducted into the spider hall of fame!

And received a surprise induction into the bee hall of fame!

Yes, I was even inducted into this hall of fame! I’m not surewhat hall of fame it was, but it was certainly an honor!

Birthday Monday 10-08-2007 and Meet the Giant Banana!

Happy Birthday to all of these fabulous Kids Club Members!

As always, this past week was full of adventure, starting with a night of fun andexcitement at Hannawalt Elementary’s Hannawalk! Here’s the opening stretch!

There was live music with someone who looked a lot like Buddy Holly!

Doctor Pete, friend of the IPTV Kids Clubhouse, was on handto make sure kids made it down the slide safely!

And, yes, I even had the honor of meeting a giant walking banana!
