After spending a few days of vacation around the campfire, I was ready to get back to the Reading Road Trip!

I never would have guessed that some woodland creatures would have followed me from the campsite to the Pocahontas Public Library!

Luckily, the crowd was very hospitable and made room for the forest beasts!

And, as an added surprise this morning, I was invited to perform with three of the town’s most talented sopranos!

Wow did I meet some cool people today!  At the Spirit Lake Public Library I met some world famous architects!

I met the President, Vice President, and Secretary of the National Potato-Head Growers Association.

I even had a new cape made for me by Ms. Ellen, tailor to the stars!

Later, in Emmetsburg I met the original Rapunzel.

I met Bruce Wayne, the Dark Knight.

I even met Kari, renown jet-sled pilot!

Finally, at the Pocahontas Public Library I met Flat Stanley and his family.

Yesterday morning the Estherville Public Library saidI could hold their golden turtle as long as I didn’t lose it!

But guess what? I lost the turtle.I was going to be “booked” by the town’s two security guards when…

The librarians gave me a chance to get them a new one in the land of the giants,where everything, even the books, are giant!

I quickly hired some guides to take me to the secret land of the giants!
