All Systems, Ready for Launch!

This morning, after months of preparation, it was time to launch the 2015 Reading Road Trip!

Practically every kid at the Osceola Public Library was ready to volunteer for the fun and adventure.

As an opening act, the librarians flew in the world-famous Blues Brothers Choir to sing for me!

And, as a parting gift, they provided me with a protective escort to the next town!

Thanks to some incredible signage, the Seymour Public Library was very easy to find!

A Big Mole Hole!

My action-packed day started this morning at the Osceola Public Library. However, my story times were just the beginning of the fun!

Afterwards, everyone planted flowers! Instead of planting them in the ground, we planted them in people’s hair.

Any time you do garden work, you should expect to encounter creepy crawlies. You might encounter bugs that are small.

And, you might encounter bugs that are BIG!

I took a train to my next stop at the Lamoni Public Library!

The Crafty Fuzzworm!

As I started my story time at the Osceola Public Librarythis morning, it seemed like just another normal day!

You know - a normal day of finding a spider in my hair!

And a normal day of admiring floating bookworms!

But a crafty fuzzworm sold me some plans to build some cool robotic bugs!
