The World's Smallest Monster!

This week I encountered lots of BIG things, like this BIG pile of books!

I met a BIG group of hula hoopers!

I hosted a BIG auction at Terrace Elementary in Ankeny!

I read stories to a BIG audience at the Bloomfield Public Library!

All the fun created a BIG thirst for some lemonade!

And just when I thought things couldn’t get any bigger I met the world’s smallest monster!

When I Grow Up!

Sometimes I think that when I grow up I want to be an astronaut!

Or maybe captain of my own starship!

I could explore strange new worlds across the universe!

And voyage to the depths of ancient underwater kingdoms!

I could observe amazing new lifeforms for researchand try to avoid being observed myself!

Alien civilizations would accept me into their communities!

And teach me about their bizarre alien customs!

Wait a second, I can go on all those space adventures and more justby visiting my library and [...]

The 2008 Reading Road Trip Is Here!

I’ve had a lot of fun over the past few weeks,like my visit to the Blank Park Zoo!

And almost getting eaten by a penguin at the Henry Doorly Zoo!

Trying to outrun giant frogs in my safari jeep was pretty cool, too!

I even received some awesome Kids Art!

I listened to a concert by an all-tuba band!

A bounty hunter almost captured me!

Luckily, a fellow super hero saved me!

Dan Wardell Sets a New Record!

Last Thursday I set a new record - ten story times in one day!But that wasn’t the week’s only excitement!On Tuesday I ventured to the Humeston Public Library!

I almost couldn’t find the library because main street was under construction!

I was greeted by kids of all ages!

I always love my visits to small towns!

Wednesday was a day to rest, and then my marathon beganearly Thursday morning at Jefferson Elementary!
