Sunday afternoons are very popular times for sharing stories at the Iowa City Public Library!
I think all of the families in the city take time to STOP and read as often as they can!
And the librarians in Iowa City? Well, let’s just say they don’t need to be encouraged to have fun.

It was pretty warm this afternoon in Iowa City!
Luckily, the Iowa City Public Library was nice and cool!
We had “out of this world” fun at story time!
And some people even came to the event in their formal wear.

A special Sunday afternoon story time today started with brunch at the Iowa City Public Library.
They’ve made some impressive additions since last time I was there. The fort made of real books was awesome!
I’d never seen the fountain before. The perfect fun for a warm summer day.
While receiving a tour of downtown I wandered into Prairie Lights book store. They have a DINOSAUR in the basement!

This week I had the honor of sharing story time with the Lemme Leopards!
I also read some stories to the spooks at South Hamilton Elementary.
No leopards or spooks at the Eldora Public Library though.
Their library is a huge castle!
I met two gallant knights with purple shields.
And I even met the king and queen of the library!
At the Lisbon Public Library they celebrate Halloween all year round!
The librarians are always wearing costumes.
