Birthday Goggles!

We kicked off the third week of this summer’s Reading Road Trip at the Indianola Public Library.

There were some incredibly dedicated and talented ninjas in the crowd!

There was also a very excited birthday boy in attendance. He wore his brand-new birthday goggles to the show!

Afterwards, there were balloons and party games! Sadly, I believe the cake had been stolen by supervillains!

This morning’s story time in Ottumwa was held across the street from the library in the same building where people play BINGO!

I love playing BINGO and any time I play, my heart really gets into it.

In fact, I get so excited that sometimes I get “FURIOUS” when I don’t win.

That’s why I always bring friends with me when I compete in games to keep me focused and calm.

Catch the Reading Bug!

Yesterday the Des Moines Library hosted me for the first of 60 Reading Road Trip stops!I didn’t have the heart to tell their librarians that they had bugs stuck to their heads!

Lots of people came to my very first story time of the summer, even this princess!

I also received a surprise visit from my family!

I almost wasn’t able to leave because I got too close to a spiderweb!

My next stop, Indianola, wasn’t quite how I remembered it!I don’t remember seeing [...]

Indianola and Art!

Day Two of the Reading Road Trip found our hero, Dan Wardell, in an incredibly audience-packed Indianola Library!

Of course, we are discovering that the magnifying glasses are a huge hit with all of the kids out there!

I earned my second library card!

And I am starting to discover that librarians are even more amazing and cool than I ever knew! This is Alice, a librarian and my new friend from the Indianola Public Library!
