Big Old Lizard!

The last leg of the Reading Road Trip startedyesterday morning in the beautiful city of Knoxville!

Just like all of my other stops, the town was filled with treasures!

I even discovered a miniature version of myself!

Next, it was off to Newton where everything seemed so muchbigger than it did when I lived there a few years ago! They have big monkeys…

Big chairs…

And REALLY big lizards!Trust me, you haven’t lived until you’ve surfed on the Newton lizard!

I also received a lot of art [...]

Coffee-Drinking Blob!

If you’ve been to one of my story times, you might think I drink a lot of coffee to get all that energy! I actually don’t drink coffee, but I did pretend to be a coffee-drinking blob once! That’s right - it’s time for another one of my high school videos starring:

“Assistant to the Blob” played by Jim Sieck

“Nervous Waiter” played by Joel Sieck

“Head Chef” played by Brad Kuennen

“Coffee Drinking Blob” played by Dan [...]

The power plants had some plumbing problems, though!

No worries - I straightened them all out!

I ended the night leading a band of heroes to safety!

Board games are all about using your imagination, and when [...]

Old Friends, New Friends!

Meet my friend Anne. She works at Blank Park Zoo.

A couple weeks ago, she asked me if I knew anyonewho could help her with a new zoo project called Kids’ Kingdom. It turns out I knew someone with strong muscles and a great attitude!

I had no idea it was going to be such a big project!

To build something that big was going to take a lot more than two people!

So last night I showed up to help build [...]

Clarinda, Shenandoah, and Sharks!

Surprises are lots of fun - unless they are bulldozers and dump trucks blocking your road!

Construction on Highway 71 almost made us really late to our stop in Clarinda yesterday! But luckily my librarian friends were waiting for me at the front door!

Clifford the Big Red Dog was waiting for me, too!

Later that day at the Shenandoah Public Library I was presented with a beautiful butterfly!

I also met a couple super-fans, including one young gentleman who was wearing a [...]
