Superbaby Saves the City!

Today, it rained on the Reading Road Trip. And it rained, and it rained, and it rained!

Fortunately, we didn’t need to worry about lightning strikes at the Woodbine Carnegie Public Library! The Statue of Liberty protected us from the severe weather!

We were also protected by an artillery cannon! You know, just in case the building came under an alien attack.

It’s always dry, safe, comfortable, and most importantly, ENTERTAINING at story time.

Later, I had a 1:00 appointment at the Norelius [...]

They Pulled an Overnighter!

I had lots of excited volunteers this morning at the Norelius Community Library in Denison!

Last night, some of my audience members slept under the stars outside the library so that they could be the first in line!

I was told there were three noisy owls that kept them awake for most of the night.

After story time, I was introduced to a rousing new hat game! I lost every round because I kept on getting stuck holding the cactus!

Singing in the Rain!

We might have started off the day singing in the rain at the Denison Public Library… 

But rain can’t ruin a good parade.

And rain can’t stop us from rocking around the cuckoo clock!

Lots of people showed up to story time today, both the very young and the very squiggly.

Later, at the Glidden Public Library I had to help the librarians straighten up the books.

Take good care of books and they’ll take good care of you.

Luckily, I learned today that if telling stories doesn’t work out for me [...]

Hollywood and Private Eyes!

Yesterday started out in the fantastic city of Denison!They have a sign just like Hollywood!

In fact, the librarians insisted I treat them like movie stars!

I discovered some mysterious footprints, and I had the kids take off their shoes to see if they were the ones walking on the walls!

They all looked pretty innocent,and it didn’t look like any of them had stepped in black paint!
