Prepare for Upgrades. Prepare for Upgrades.

As soon as I entered the Clive Public Library this morning I was greeted with a warm hug from a familiar friend!

However, I did not receive a warm hug from the fire chief. She was very clear that I was not to break fire code during my story time.

Apparently the firefighters were concerned about a fight possibly breaking out if the crowd grew too large.

Luckily, the library employs a massive army of minibots to take care of any problems that [...]

So many IPTV fans show up at the Clive Public Library, that we usually bring the camera crew with us to document all the fun!

Because their crowds are so large, they usually turn down the air conditioning. This year, judging by the icicles, they may have turned down the temperature a little too much!

After things thawed out, we played a rousing game of I Spy! We were spying for yellow duckies!

And, let me tell you, we found plenty of yellow [...]

I Spy a Big Blue Dog!

Look who was waiting for me at the Ames Bandshell this morning!

Smyles wasn’t the only one looking for a story. Lots of patrons from the Ames Public Library were there, too!

I was asked to join in a synchronized musical performance on the stage!

And, afterwards, I even was able to enjoy the park for a bit!

My next stop was the Clive Public Library!

Steve, one of my co-workers, was there to shoot some video of the adventures we were having!

Some friends asked [...]

The Magic Number 15,000!

The patrons of the Ericson Public Library in Boone read over 111,000 minutes this summer!

In honor of this awesome feat, we were supposed to have story time in a beautiful and scenic park this morning!

A thunderstorm forced us inside the library for the event.

And a gigantic crowd forced us out of the story time room and into the main library!

I was looking forward to my final stop this summer. That’s because the librarians at the Clive Public Library are always [...]

Who Wants to Hula?

Today, a giant shark attacked story time at the Grimes Public Library!

Luckily, I put out a call for the nearest super heroes to fly in and save us.

As long as we stayed on dry land we would be safe. And the best thing to do on dry land is always to dance the hula!

Wow, who thought a hula dance would draw such a crowd?

The Clive Public Library also had a huge crowd. A firefighter stopped by to make [...]
