I had hoped this morning’s story times at the Johnston Public Library would go smoothly.
But, my nose sensed there was something that “smelled” a little strange. I was certain it was the exhaust from a Star Destroyer.
I was right! Darth Vader had landed in the library and was looking for a duel!
Luckily, he was no match for a Jedi such as myself. I had three great options for flying to my second stop of the day!

This morning, a gymnasium full of rascals and I shared story time at the Kirkendall Public Library in Ankeny.
Dignitaries from England attended the event.
Archaeologists from Egypt attended the event.
Rock singers from Japan attended the event.
Even patriots from New York attended the event.
And since story time was in Ankeny this morning, my family was able to attend story time as well!
After the morning fun, I set sail for the Chariton Free Public Library looking for adventure.

I had the honor of performing in front of huge crowds today, especially in Ankeny!
The Ankeny Public Library always has a way of drawing in the kids. It is probably because they have lots of prizes you can sign up for during their summer reading program.
One of their grand prizes is even lunch and story time with me!

The entire summer has been leading to this final target! The last day of my Reading Road Trip!
Lots of my fans and neighbors showed up to celebrate.
And lots of my friends showed up to surprise me too!
Now it is time to set sail for my next stop: the Iowa State Fair.
