Yesterday was the final day of the Iowa State Fair,and I finally realized that the Fair is not really about the pigs!
It’s not about the horses!
It’s not even about the goats!
The Iowa State Fair is all about the awesome people!

Of course, yesterday was filled with Iowa State Fair fun…
But my primary focus was getting thatfirst pitch of the Iowa Cubs game over the plate!
I’m proud to report I made it!
The catcher was the strong silent type, but I think he was impressed!
Michael Gartner, Chairman of the Iowa Cubs, seemed impressed, too!
I met and gave autographs to some of my greatest fans!
And I even met a new fan, Bill Richardson, Governor of New Mexico!

If you love to scream, the Iowa State Fair’sMidway has plenty of opportunities for you!
In fact, if “fear” was peanut butter and “fun” was jelly,the Midway would be a t-rex-sized peanut butter and jelly sandwich!
When you think about it, what’s more fun thanpretending you’re sinking on the Titanic?
Or whipping through the air at high speeds in a perfect circle?
